Bass Kleph

Bass Kleph writes the kind of tracks where the whole club does a double take, then bum rushes the DJ to find out what the F##K is this?!?. It’s a dirty, bouncy, querky, sexy, sensory assault of less is more Tech/Electro. A mash of straight beats, and break beats, big bass and house treats. It’s that… well it’s that Bass Kleph sound.

He describes the sound as a war on average, fought by Amazonian swimsuit models with machine guns, and he’s not too far off. DJ, producer, label owner/manager, mix engineer and radio show host. Bass Kleph has a finger in every music industry pie in town. Not only that, but he also happens to have one of the hottest, most in demand, individual sounds of now.

He’s made a big name for himself in the remix world. Find out for yourself why people are calling Bass Kleph’s latest remix THE TUNE of Miami ‘07! Within seconds of being dropped by DJ Icey at a pool party in South Beach, Miami, Bass Kleph’s killer remix of Robb G’s 12” Therapy got everyone's attention. Dom (Stanton Warriors) was seen saying he “NEEDED A COPY NOW!”

His remix of the Drumattic Twins for Finger Lickin Records won him the award of best remix 2005 at Breaks Poll. This same remix is still charted as number 2 in beatport.coms all time best breakbeat tracks. His electro-rock remix of Amiel’s ‘Be Your Girl’ crossed over to the mainstream big time. In 2006 he recorded a mix CD along with DJ Hyper for the InTheMix series and together they toured Australia from top to bottom. This constant jet setting around the country is something he now regularly does to this day. When he is in his home town of Sydney, he packs out the club for his residency at Break Inn (Chinese Laundry). The night is such a success it picked up best Sydney club night 2006 in 3Dworld magazine.

Whether writing bombs in the studio, or tearing apart the decks, Bass Kleph doesn’t just set the bar, he breaks it in two.
